what's the common trait between Russian Adidas and Japanese Harajuku?
They're all in the street style category on their own. But what is street style?
Today’s topic is all about street style. Did you know that every country has its own street style? Maybe u could guess that by the Russians’ baggy Adidas and Koreans’ Harajuku-style sweaters… I don’t know about you, but my favorite is ‘West Side Outfits.’ Many people don’t think that streetwear is fashion. But we know that even Vogue’s favorite fashion content is celebrities’ warm photos on the street which are they are not prepared for a photoshoot and wear what they feel comfortable in. I think that beauty hurts. But why can't you be comfortable and look chic at the same time? This blessing fashion style enjoys the best of both worlds.
How did this fashion become so hit? How did we become seeing this style even at the Paris Fashion week? For example Spring 2026 Menswear Shows in Milan. But it’s not a new trend. It showed itself in the late 1970s. With hip-hop and surfboarders’ culture. With that, in the 80s and 90s, ‘Stussy’ and ‘Vans’ had a strong voice in this style. With their graffiti-inspired logos and graphic tees. But please don’t picture the weed guys’ spot at the ‘Clueless’ movie… Which looks like they rolled out of bed…
We appreciate Lewis Hamilton’s grid daily outfits, Tupac’s iconic outfits, brands like Drew and Yeezy… But we know that these brilliant legacies don’t go to waste. From now on, Gen Z will love and make the biggest influence on this style. But how can’t they? Their childhood celebrities were that time’s best street stylists. We saw that at the Grammys, their song clips, and even with their children’s outfits. Nepo babies of rappers will nail it style in the future, in my opinion. Shout out to North West!
-What do you think, could Jack Blues Bieber continue his father’s legacy? We hope he’s not… But u know history repeats itself. Just think his girlfriend fully dressed and JBB will appear with his crocs and hat with backwards. Sounds terribly familiar…
We know some sayings that this style actually born with black people’s difficult living. They thrifted white people’s old and baggy clothes just becuase they can only afford that type of clothes. I don’t want to give you wrong information but it may be possible. But these amazing people made that clothes so notable so it become a fashion. We can like Hailey Bieber’s oversized outfits, we can like Central Cee’s daily outfits, we can like the influencer’s street photo-shoots; but could they remarked as much as Lil Wayne’s red carpet looks with ‘‘Bape’’ , Kendrick Lamar's Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show outfits, Rihanna’s pregnancy stylish combinations? We have a lot to learn from these iconic names and more!
